I recently tried this hair product, and while it has some fantastic qualities, it ultimately fell short of my expectations.
First off, the ingredients are impressive. They truly cater to hair health, and I can definitely feel the benefits after use. Additionally, the scent is delightful—fresh and invigorating, making the application process a pleasure. The product also boasts a lot of slip, which means applying it is quick and easy, a definite plus in my book.
However, for a price point of $30 for just 4oz, I was hoping for something that could stand on its own. Unfortunately, this product lacks the hold necessary to control frizz and maintain my style throughout the day. To achieve the look I want, I found myself reaching for additional products like gels, mousses, or hairspray. and for $30 we should be able to use this on its own.
While I appreciate that the product is heading in the right direction with its formulation and ease of use, it feels like it hasn’t quite finished its journey. Unless the brand decides to enhance the hold factor in future iterations, I can’t see myself purchasing this again. It's a solid product, but if you’re looking for something that can truly do it all, there are already some in the market for less and more.
I absolutely love the Aloe Amla Leave-In Conditioner and Styler from The Joy of Curls! This product works wonders for my hair, whether I’m wearing it in its natural curly state or straightened. When I leave my hair curly, it enhances my curls beautifully, giving them definition, bounce, and a healthy shine. It also helps me maintain my curly hairstyles for days without any frizz or dryness.
What’s even better is how versatile it is—it works just as well when I straighten my hair. My hair feels soft, looks sleek, and remains healthy no matter how I style it. I’ve been receiving so many compliments on how healthy my hair looks, and I know it’s thanks to this product!
A fun bonus: my husband started using it too. He loves how it makes his hair feel, so now I have to stock up to keep us both happy! If you’re looking for a product that nourishes, styles, and enhances your hair, this is it. Highly recommend!
I was genuinely excited to try this product, hoping it would be a great alternative to what I’ve been using from another brand. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I carefully followed the instructions on the jar for application. While the curls looked great initially after applying the product to my wet, freshly washed hair, they completely disappeared once my hair dried. Instead, my hair became matted, extremely dry, and lacked any moisture. I even had to use extra oil just to restore some hydration.
I love this leave in conditioner. My hair feels amazing. I would buy it a thousand times over!! The company also has great customer service. I would love to be able to buy a larger jar, but a little goes a long way so I’m okay with the current size. This brand has a forever customer in me!
